The Racine police station--731 N. Racine--was the setting for Lee Marvin's 1950s M Squad TV show. I am quite sure a couple of us "discovered" it here 3 or 4 years ago. This one was at Cicero and Monroe. In fact I recall the plane pointed almost directly down Monroe. There was a restaurant with a sign shaped like an airplane at about 55th and Cicero, but that restaurant was not an airplane.

West Town, in the 1957 reverse, a Kaczynski is listed at 1829 W. Huron with that MO 6-4912 phone number. Two Joseph's in the 1951 directory but not on Huron or Haddon. Richard, nothing in the 1951 phone book or 1957 reverse. It was a cursory search, LOTS of Petersons!

To the point of bars all over Chicago by ambrosiomario, if we look at a early classified phone books we will find hundreds if not thousands of "saloons" all across Chicago. It's amazing how it's changed.
