If i'm not mistaking. Was there a plan to have an airport just outside of Downtown Chicago, On the near NW side?. During the late 1940's-early 1950's. But O'Hare became the prime spot inevitably?. Was there any known protests or was it just some plan they threw around?. I was looking at some old newspaper slides long time ago.

Now, Until about maybe 10 years ago some place on 2746 S.Kildare had a 1960's plastic S&H Green Stamps sign in front, What specifically WAS that place?. And it WAS quite unusual to have that place exist on a more quaint side street. And it was pretty showy for a side street, To say the least, If not unusual.

Well, The sign was in a white background with blue letters, Specifically of the logo. Yes, It is rather fun & intriguing to find out many obscure things about Chicago & Chicagoland. A few things I actually remember, If not vaguely.

I also noticed the old Glazer's Prescriptions (now a mini mart) at 959 N.Ashland. Strangely enough, It had a painted billboard ad for Jay's Potato Chips. When during the 1960's-80's it had a posting for the pharmacy. I also noticed a nightly trek down the 1500 block of W.Chicago at night, With the old Finkelstein's Juvenile Shop neon sign.
