They somehow could have re-used the building for something else. The old Kraft Building on N.Pesthigo was a nice building too.

Well, The Daley (since 1977) Civic Center was built in 1965. So I would have guessed that year. However, From it's old location at Congress, East of Michigan Av. It moved a year later.

Augusta closed sometime in the late 1980's on N.Ashland, And is now a more bland & less worthy enterprise in it's place. Yet, Augusta moved to around 1100 N.Milwaukee in the late 1980's-early 1990's, Changed names & closed a few years later.

Gee, I could remember that one BB-Q rib joynt called Rib World on W.Roosevelt, Just west of the Douglas Park "L", With the late 1950's-early 1960's neon sign similar to Treasure Chest on W.Randlph which existed long ago-Alco Drugs at 35th & King Dr which is also gone-Show of Shows on S.Cicero in the seedy adult strip of Cicero which also apparently vanished. The rib place is gone as

Yes, There WAS a hot dog stand at the NW corner of Diversey & Bosworth. A little more old fashioned. But there WAS a hot dog stand at the 1300 W. Wrightwood on the NW corner. As uncommon as it may have been. I ALSO believe there was also a tavern, grocery store & cleaners or some small shop on each corner of the 1258-1301 block of W.Wrightwood. Plus DO you remember what stood at 1501 W. Ge

No, This was more of a medical facility, As opposed to the more residential Lake Point Tower. Usually, Those signs signaled that a medical facility was in the zone or vicinity with that distinctive green cross. Northwestern would be a few blocks west, So that wouldn't actually count. But there was some sort of mariners or sickbay-type facility. I was just wondering which specific one?.
