Nathan "Nate" Batt, age 93, of Northbrook, owned the famous Mama Batt's Restaurant; beloved husband for 68 years of the late Rebecca nee Alhalel; loving father of Frankie (late Richard) Sabul, Sheila Greene and Harry (Deborah Stevens) Batt; adored grandpa of Wendy (Max) Mintzer, Scott Sabul, Tammy (Steve) Waples, Debbie (Steve) Popkin, Jonathan Palmer, Jaime Nachbar and Renee Greene; proudest "Papou" of 11 great grandchildren; cherished brother of Sam (Pearl) Batt, Annabelle (late Herman) Turchik and the late Estelle (late Bill) Leventhal; treasured uncle, great uncle and friend of many. These past five years, Nate was lovingly cared for by Edgar. Service Friday, 11 a.m. at Congregation Beth Shalom, 3433 Walters Ave., Northbrook, IL 60062. Interment Rosemont Park Cemetery.
