Rich, on the very corner of Milwaukee and Logan, I found a picture on 'What Was There' of the Logan Square Bank from 1923.

The building was built around 1899. From what I remember growing up there in the mid 1960's they were all small shops there like PK said.
I believe the bank, down the street was closed at that time. I think the name of the bank was, The Logan Square Bank. I think in moved here in 1923 from the corner. Here is a picture.

For your info, on the other side of the street there was a movie theater and some auto showrooms. The buildings were torn down when the El was expanded to Jefferson Park around 1970.
