It has what seems may have been a loading area of some kind with cemented steps on either side facing each other with an interesting brickwork facade and a huge doorway at the front end. Ive been viewing the site on Historic Aerials and i see that there was some type of huge complex between 1939 and 1988. For the life of me, I cant remember what it was. I know many of you can answer this one..thanks (a side note- although the new Wright college is impressive better adapted and accommodating for the students, its a shame to see the old building be left behind and renamed)

I went to Prosser when it was Prosser Vocational high school. The original building and entrance way is located at 2148 N. Long Avenue. East of Central ave. Was a GREAT HS during those older days. Not sure about now.

Hi Rich, yes i did as well as driving by the area. Because the building fronts have changed so much(and my memory is aging,,lol) I'm not 100% sure of the exact locale. I'm 85% convinced that it has been razed. I'm more interested in the history of the building rather than its status.

I grew up near Pulaski and North ave from 1967-1980. In my neighborhood travels, I remember that there was a large building around the 4200w block of North ave.(north side of street) It was referred to as the 'Lions' building. Through my youthful eyes it had the appearance of a huge yellow bricked hotel. I also remember that there were postings on the buildings exterior of upcoming banquet show

The 2 story 5 apt. brick building where i currently live was built in 1926. It has remnants of what use to be the same type of system. Also has the original narrow ironing board closets.

HI LIz, I'm so glad to have found this site. Our dime store was Woolworth at North ave and Pulaski. To see that store burn down later on in the mid 70s was saddening.I remembered thinking about the animals safety at the pet department in the back of the store. I'm a proud Chicagoan so this site is a goldmine of info!
