I played in an industrial league at Welles Park at Lincoln and Montrose. They had teams like The Gas Company and Electric Company. My favorites were the original MANZO at Irving Park Road, east of Kedzie and BIASETTI'S at Irving and Ashland by Lakeview High School. Manzo had a great special with bacon and Biasetti's was the first pizza I ever ate and they had the best pepperoni small and crispy. There was a good family-run pizzeria near Irving and Austin.
