So taking a photo of the Wrigley Field marquis and selling the photos would not be an issue??

I'm wondering if there are any legal issues if someone were to take photos of buildings or landmarks in Chicago and sell the photos/posters for profit. If the photos were taken from public property, such as the street in front of the United Center, or the Union Stock Yards arch or even street signs, would a permit be required? Any information would be appreciated.

I've been to the old Amp a few times in the 70's for Chicago Cougars hockey games. In the 80's, we drove by and snapped a few photos of the arena. Something is puzzling me. I've seen photos and read stories that say there was an expansion built on the south end of the arena, then another added on in 1960. The square footage of space went from 200,000 to 400,000 then to almost 600,000 of convention

If I recall, there was a High-Low store on the 3100 north block of Harlem. This must have been in the early 70's or so. Now its a group of apartment buildings right across the street from the original Caputo's Market.

I've always wondered about abandoned factories and such. Once the owner takes off and closes down, and these buildings sit for years, who actually owns them? Did the bank take over because payments stopped? Did the city take over because property taxes stopped? Or did the banks sell property to the city for pennies on the dollar just to rid themselves of unwanted properties in blighted areas?

The Chicago Public Library on the corner of Narragansett and Barry was built around 1971 or so. I remember playing in the huge sand pit that was there just before construction. I'm trying to remember what was there before the library. Most if not all of the folks who were there at the time are now gone. Any chance anyone has a few photos of this area before 1970? I must have been 7 years old or so
