I grew up in Brighton Park and indeed there was a Gertie's on Archer Ave., a few doors west of the Brighton Theater. I had eaten there many times. It was one of those places that had a juke box selector at each table.

Does anyone have more information on the Town of Lake Sokol? Or an organization called the Robey's? (Incorporated in June of 1904.)
