According to a 1929 Polk's Directory. There was a florist at 2529 N. Lotus. When I seen the Google maps picture, It showed 3 quasi-modern apt bldgs. On the NETR maps, From 1930's-1962. It seemed as if it was a good-sized greenhouse. Between 1962-72, it seems to have disappeared. Can anyone tell me when that place closed down?.

Found in the Chicago Tribune a article dated Nov 3,1944 where a woman was hit by a truck driven by the owner of Krismer Flower Land which was located at that address.

The 1929 Polk lists the florist name as Leo Verbauen, florist. It is listed as same in the 1937 Classified phone book.

The 1941 phone book does not have a listing for Verbauen or Krismer florists.

The 1950 classified phone book shows Krismer at the Lotus address, no listing for Verbauen.

The 1960 classified phone book shows Krismer at the Lotus address.

The 1967 phone book shows no Krismer Florist at that location, however there is a Krismer Florist at 6016 W. Belmont.
