Does anyone know anything about the big red building that used to be on the corner of superior and leavitt. I always wounder what they did in there.

The address comes up either 750 N Leavitt or 2200 W Superior, and either way, the 1928-29 Polk Directory shows that property as being vacant. However, the 1938 Historic Aerials shows a structure at that corner. So whatever was there was built in the 1930's. Looks like it disappeared between 2002-2005

I have lived on the 2000 block of Ohio for quite a long time, and I do remember that building, but I never saw anything going on there. An old timer told me that years ago it was used as a beverage distributor. Currently the north half of that property (facing Chicago) is being turned into,... wait for it,... condos!
