I'm looking for information on the home(s) of the Chicago newspaper writer and poet S.E. Kiser (Samuel Ellsworth). He was active in the early 1900s in Chicago and worked with the illustrator and political cartoonist McCutcheon. Any info you can provide as to his residential address(es) would be greatly appreciated.

I found a Samuel Kiser on the 1900 census in Evanston Township, Evanston City IL enumerated June 16 1900. This Samuel was born in Feb. 1865 in PA and married to Mildred who was born in 1869 in OH. One son Palmer E. who was born in June 1895. Mother in law living with them at 405 Grove Street. He gives his occupation as author.

Although we don't know if this is the right Samuel this may be useful as a guide to confirm later or rule out.

You can see the census (Free) at FamilySearch.org. I tried to do a screenshot but it didn't come out right.
