What ever happened to Bushman?

That was his name, right? The gorilla at Lincoln Park Zoo. Was he ceremoniously buried somewhere, cremated or maybe turned into mulch? Does the zoo still sell Bushman banks? They stood close to a foot tall and held one heck of a lot of coins.

HI Tim.
He lived a good life at Lincoln Park Zoo, died in 1951 and now resides at the Field Museum.

My family visited him many times as he was the 'rock star' of the zoo. I believe he had some temper tantrums a time or two but he was always gentle and curious about the visitors when we visited.
