Nottingham Gardens Banquet Hall

Does anyone remember Nottingham Gardens Banquet Hall? I went to a wedding reception there when I was a kid. Early 1970's. Nottingham Gardens was on Nottingham Ave. & Higgins Rd. Does anyone know why it closed?

had my wedding reception there in 1976. Now its some kinda sports bar. Don't know why they closed

Thank you. I know it brought it many banquets. Maybe the owners just had enough.

I worked at Nottingham Gardens, late 60's or early 70's. It was my first job while in high school, prior to working at Turn Style @ Harlem and Foster. Still have memories of refilling top shelf bottles of whiskey for the owner with cheap, rot gut booze. I assumed even then that there were a few things not quite right with that practice.
I just found this website and have been wasting an entire evening traveling down memory lane. What a hoot! Can't wait to explore it further.
