637 West 26th Street stands a building behind the trees with the old façade saying Pizzeria & Spaghetti. The 1928 Polk directory has no information on this building. Does anyone know about this residence? Thanks

No idea what that place once was but I have seen it in many photos. If I had to guess, I'd say the facade dates from the '40s.
There was once a similar sign over a pizzeria near Marquette Park that simply read PIZZA PIE. Can't remember exactly, still might be there.

According to a 1948 Tribune article Sarcinelli's restaurant stood at 637 West 26th St.

Before the 1909 street number change, 637 West 26th was 519 East 26th.
