Old Chicago Boy Scout - Girl Scouts Info

While reaching something else, I ran across a newspaper article that mentioned a girl scout troop at my parish in the 50s that did not exist when I went to school in the 60s. Does anybody know of a resource or a database of information that would provide information by troop number such as years of operation or who the sponsor may have been? In my case this would be within the city of Chicago.

I've heard that the first cub Scout troop in America was on the south side in the West Pullman neighborhood.

You could try:

Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago & Northwest Indiana
20 S Clark St, Chicago, IL 60603
(312) 416-2500

It's their local HQ.
