Anyone ever notice that BK location in Downtown Naperville?

Obviously it's an older looking restaurant compared to the more modern ones.

Wonder how many of those BK restaurants still exist?

That BK is original, I remember the trapazoidal "arches" on top of old BK's. In mid/late 60's, my grandparents would treat us and go to a similar looking BK on Roosevelt Rd. in Glen Ellyn.

Back then, fast food places were a 'family outing'. It also had a neon cartoon 'King' on a hamburger sign. Was remodeled in 70's ;-( so now looks non-descript.

Another BK from the 60's is at 4900 w North ave in city. It was built in 1969, but it was one of the first 'modern' BK's, so no cool kitchy features. But it looks same now as then. Was by my old grammar shcool and the 'cool kids' went there after classes.

I think I was thinking of the Cock Robin.
Wasn't that close to that BK?

Your beloved (!) webmasters are currently in Pittsburgh, where we just watched on television, incredulously, a public debate regarding, get this, the construction of a new expressway. And only an hour difference in the exact same 2008 where Chicago is witnessing the highest gas prices in ever (in this country).

Need I forget, they (the people of the Allegheny County, one of whom in Sharpsburg today screamed at me, informing me that I am indeed an Iraqi {I'm Italian/Ukrainian}) also have an odd dialect involving something like a soft 'o'. I'm sure linguists have already covered it like an x on a y. Speaking of variables foisted upon each other, the wonderfully complex built environment of Pittsburgh features a classic Burger King, seen here, or at least around here:

I, nor anybody I know, is an expert on the BK typology, so feel free to sign and date this.

The Old Cock Robin in Naperville was torn down, :( I don't know if any of them are left standing.

Brookfield Cock Robin is still standing.
However it has been closed for about two years, and is for sale.

The former Cock Robin restaurant in downtown Wheaton is still standing, and even still has the old sign, but it's been home to a deli for several years now.
