Finding a person who died in Chicago

Hi all,

I'm tracing Fred S Johnson

Born May 26th 1864
Fred (Then probably known as Sven Svensson) emigrated, went from Malmö Sweden to Galesburg IL roughly November 1st, 1883

My ancestor documents says
- he was married
- they had no children
- both passed away in Chicago Illinois (This does not mean that they passed away at the same time.)

I have seen a photo of him and some ancestors most likely from the period of 1905 - 1913

Is it possible to find him in some sort of death records so the date of his death will be known?

I will be grateful for any information about Fred and his for me unknown wife.

Wow, Great!! THANKS!

Where did you found that information?

Due to birthdate, name, occupation, place of living it seem to be a match.

Is there a possibility to find an obituary of Fred as well to check if his wife was alive when Fred passed away and if there where any children and closest ancestor??
