1940s Unidentified Photos

In response to the new Announcement post re: unidentified photos:
I'll kick this off...
The photo of the Philips 66 station was taken looking east on South Shore Drive roughly from Exchange. The South Shore View hotel is on the right.
The photo numbered U527859.jpg is also in South Shore, taken looking north on South Shore Drive from about 74th. The South Shore View hotel is on the left in that photo.
Photo numbered U527934.jpg is taken looking north on Cottage Grove towards Indiana and Cermak.
Photo U527850.jpg is taken on Prairie Ave. looking southeast from about 1800 S. The house on the far right in the background is the Marshall Field Jr. mansion and the RR Donnelly plant tower is in the background middle.

Photo U527946.jpg appears to be taken from the area of Congress looking northeast, maybe near Desplaines. Some of the buildings in the background show up in other photos taken during the expressway construction including what looks to be the CB&QRR building over on Jackson (slightly left of center, far background).
Photo U527887.jpg might be South Park Way (King Drive). There was a Goodyear warehouse listed near there, and also there was a railroad roundhouse near along the ICRR tracks and the equipment in the background may be related to that.
I think the Goodyear building is now the Public Storage facility next to the I-55 ramp heading southbound onto Lake Shore Drive.
Photo U527904.jpg is looking east on the 2200 block of Warren Blvd, and photo U527847.jpg is looking east on the 3000 block of Warren Blvd. The church barely visible in the background of that photo is the Central Presbyterian, on Warren at Sacramento.

Beat me to those two obvious ones. 7100 South Shore Drive is now a rental apartment building and looks pretty much as it does there except for a 4-story addition to the west, which is visible here today.

Some more...
I'm somewhat surprised that these were unidentified, but Photo U527953.jpg and Photo U527952.jpg are both of the building at 5040 N. Marine Drive (between Winona and Carmen). The building wasn't that old when the photos were taken, maybe two or three years at that point. The building on the far right is the former Admiral Hotel, which has been demolished and replaced by the Admiral On The Lake senior living center.
Photo U527861.jpg is the Kelvyn Park Fieldhouse. It's worth noting that Kelvyn Park and Riis Park have identical fieldhouses.
Photo U527882.jpg is actually reversed as posted on their website. It's the 4500 block of Wrightwood just west of Kilbourn, but on the north side of the parkway looking west. The woman with the baby carriage is actually in front of the building that's on the NW corner of Wrightwood and Kilbourn.

Photo U527935.jpg is of St. John Church at 18th & Clark, which closed in 1962. The doors of the church faced 18th.
