Does any one remember Stotland Furniture a 6344 S cottagegrove ?

The building was built for Spiegel Furniture by architect B. Leo Steif and was featured in an article in the Chicago Tribune on October 3, 1926.

They had another location on 47th and South Parkway (King Drive), on the southwest corner, which I belive sold clothing.

I never visited Stotland's, but have fond memories of Al Benson's voice doing the commercials on WVON. They also had the catchy closing musical refrain of : Go to Stotland's, Go To Stotlands, Go To Stotlands...
