During the late 60's - early 70's, a real treat would be a visit to the Buffalo Ice Cream Parlor on Irving, just east of the Kennedy. I would appreciate hearing of other's recollections, and learning of its fate. Thanks for any information you may be able to share.

I remember when the Harlem / Foster store burned. We speculated about the explosions heard during blaze, wondering if it was ammunition from the sporting goods department. When the store was rebuilt, I worked there until about 1971.

I worked at Nottingham Gardens, late 60's or early 70's. It was my first job while in high school, prior to working at Turn Style @ Harlem and Foster. Still have memories of refilling top shelf bottles of whiskey for the owner with cheap, rot gut booze. I assumed even then that there were a few things not quite right with that practice.
