I grew up at Belmont and Sheridan Rd. I remember driving home late at night with my parents visiting family on the South Side and hitting the turn at Oak St. on LSD and seeing lights from the smelters for miles - It was a fantastic sight that I really miss! I went a few times with my Uncle and cousins - light, dip net, deep fryer - we'd cook 'em up right there on a cold night, nothing tasted

Anyone remember this place? My mom used to take me there all the time in the early 70's. I was a train freak and loved the train theme. If anyone has a pic of the place I'd love to see it again! Best, Bill K.

For those of you who lived on the Near North Side, there used to be a bowling alley just south of Diversey on the east side of the street called, if I remember correctly, "Parkway Bowl" - I believe it is a shoe store now. It was just about straight across from the old Parkway Theater. I used to frequent both of those places the early 70's. Anyone else remember Parkway Bowl? Anybo
