Passport indeed! Ha! Speaking of Evanston and the demise of classic bookstores, I also used to frequent Bookman's Alley off Sherman. Along with Booksellers Row, I still have the books I purchased there. Good times!

You guys are the best! Yes, Bookseller's Row! Did a quick search and found howardsbooks.net which has a little history page that brought back many fond memories. Btw, it was Periwinkle that moved into their original space at 2511. And of course their second location at 2445 had those marvelous rolling ladders. Many Saturdays and evenings were spent there. Sigh...

There was a used bookstore on Lincoln Avenue situated between Wax Trax and the Biograph Theater I used to frequent in the 70s and 80s, but for the life of me I can't recall the name. Refresh my memory? It was a great place!
