Ladybegood, I grew up in Barrington and rode at Lakeside Riding Academy from about 1957 to about 1960. My mother or a friend's mother would drive us in for lessons one night a week. I went on a few evening rides, but the most fun were the breakfast rides through Lincoln Park. Ivan Parks would meet us in the parking lot of the Edgewater Beach with a case of liquor, making the ride back interesting!
