They really new how to prepare skirt steak - blackened on the outside yet rare and tender on the inside. Most favorite dish was what they called the Fondue a la Hacienda, a bubbly cheese fondue with sterno surrounded by the aforementioned skirt steak cut in strips. So... Aylwards by Nabisco https://graciemark.shutterfly.com/151 and Banana's Steakhouse on Cicero. http://www.flickriver.com/photos/9385421@N08/3873482078/ There was a restaurant in Palos Park across the street on SW Highway and Rte 83 from the old Pooch's that burned down around 1969 or so. Now, there is a tough one for someone old enough to perhaps remember.

Glavor's Grill on 79th and Lawndale. Field's Restaurant on 104th and Western ( I bussed tables there). Sun Sai Gai on 79th by Bogan- owned by the Chin family.
