For all you taco fans go find a Burger King. They sell a taco that is very similar to Jack in the box.

Not sure if they still serve them but Burger King had tacos that were just like Jack in the box fried. They are bigger so they have a little more grease.

I'm 58 and I recall getting taken to a pony ride at Lincoln Park which would place it in the 60's. Now I know it wasn't in the zoo if that's what you are referring to. But I also remember that the rides where near the old viking ship that was left over from the Columbian Exposition. There was a Bargain Town on Lincoln Ave a few blocks south of Irving Park Rd. The reason I remember it so well was that when I was in 7th grade I went there with a friend who was looking to buy a model and instead he attempted to shop lift one. I worked at 26 back then your absolutely correct. It was a local version that wasn't very good. I never even realized it was being recorded at the Uptown till one show where they placed a camera behind the ring facing the audience. What made me so sad was that I grew up near the Uptown, it was my childhood theater and watching them use the grand old lady for this sickened me.

I vote for Irving & Narragansett. Mostly based on the billboard. Plus the corner of Narragansett Belmont the Belmont side doesn't seem wide enough for a newspaper stand. It is at Irving. Currently there is a A's restaurant. The building had a new front added to it so it looks different.
