OK, so we're all at lunch today and someone asks why north side streets have names, whereas south side streets have numbers. Did they run out of names? All joking aside, does anyone have an answer on this?

I remember a cafeteria at 5 North Wabash too. Don't remember the name of it, but I think Pixey & Ehlers (sp?) was at a different location downtown. I believe there were a few of them.

Does anyone remember a restaurant on Oak Street, between Michigan/Rush named "Isabelle's"? (Or something like that.) It was across the street from the Esquire Theatre and my aunt would take me there in the late 50's.

There is a strange, circular building on the southwest corner of Roosevelt/Halsted. Does anyone know what it is?
