My source is a map within the booklet: Rand, McNally & Co's - A Week at the Fair - Illustrating Exhibits and Wonders of the World's Columbian Exposition with Maps and Diagrams. My error in writing "Side Side" in my earlier post - it was South Side Rapid Transit R.R. on the map Rand, McNally new indexes Standard Guide Map.

The Buffalo Bill's Wild West show grounds was bounded by streets, 62nd on the north, Grace on the east; 63rd on the South; and Hope on the west -- and 63rd was also " South Rapid Transit R.R." a bridge that possibly Annie was sitting in front of. My shot in the dark. HOPE Ave 1500 E was changed to BLACKSTONE

Larry, Another question. Wasn't there also a Playhouse of sorts, also located on the north side of Archer, near Meade or McVicker street; I vaguely recall, from back in the early or mid 60s?

dforgue, Thank you for the interesting comment, and map. Do you suppose, that World War I sped the change for women, between 1912 and 1921? The Roaring Twenties arrived soon after. And, the 19th Amendment in 1920, gave women the right to vote.

gomba306 I would be interested to read your book; what is the the title, and your name? I knew two Garrity brothers, James and the other brother's name, has now escaped my memory, but it may have been Tom. The brothers uncle, was the well known Chicago personality Vince Garrity.
