doctor jazz on montrose was a neighborhood jem. I believe it opened in 1972 or73. it sprouted from a piano tuners store and became one of the most unique ice cream stores ever.On a sunday afternoon you would have to wait for a table as long as 2 hours because a live dixieland jazz band played. there were old carnival games and toys displayed. I remember seeing The Great Race played there one day.
