Ah that was the place to go to when I was a kid - yep like someone else wrote - we also took the L from Southport on the North Side and then spend the day... WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE NAVAL ARMORY???

I remember Wiebolts, as a kid we used to hang out in the store. SIGN MAKER... I visited the woman who sat at a stool in front of a sign machine where she would select the letters - stencils I think, then line them up on cardboard stock and run an ink roller over it all to make the Sale and other signage... I and so many other Democrats are so happy to hear that Daley is not going to run again - while I no longer live in Chicago, i've sat back and watched in horror as that "Mayor" carved X's into Meig's runways in the middle of the night. What a sneaky bastard. What would have happened if there was an emergency and a Life Flight was needed? He didn't give a crap about anything else
