I attended Seward School in the 'Back of the Yards' community in the 1950's. Our class size was about 35 per class and still found a way to learn in class. Their was no A/C in the rooms at that time. The lunch room was located on the first floor and rarely eat there. Lunches were brought from home. The teachers back then were able to run the class size and parents were involved to make sure
