How about the FAIR in downtown.. on State St. Every year we would go there by bus, the day after Thanksgiving, they would have such an awesome Christmas display.. like a Christmas wonderland. As for Robert Hall.. every year we would go and get new Easter outfits there... wow what a flash of memories.. I love it!

Again so many memories... Gerties was next to the theater on Archer Ave. best ice cream around. You could get a sandwich there with chips, they never had french fries.. I can still see the booths..

Wow I remember this store very well. It was my first job! I worked wrapping packages for customers, and sometimes had to go upstairs where all the stock was and tag merchandise. I was paid a whopping 75ยข an hour.. I thought I was a big shot! Loved the old wood floors that creaked when you walked on them. Once in awhile I worked the candy section.. where we scooped out candy from a bin, no prepac
