I always wondered what used to be in that Autozone. It makes sense now, since you can faintly see old grocery ads on the billboards in the lot adjacent to the building:

Butera is still around - there is one at Nagle and Gunnison (kiddy corner from the former Elliots) and another at Cumberland and Montrose. The Cumberland location used to be an Eagle. I believe there are several other locations in suburbs. My parents met when they both worked at a National Tea - the one on Ashland I believe.

Oh no! How sad! My parents live down the street from there - I don't know where my dad is going to get his turkey deli meat from now on. There is a Butera kiddie-corner from it so I guess it's not too suprising. Still - another one bites the dust.
