We used to ride from Oak Lawn all the way to the North side just to go to Rolling Stone records in the 80's, just took Harlem all the way north to Irving Park, i believe. Great car rides and memories!

I can still remember going to White Sox games in the late 60's/early 70's-my dad had a special route that he would take to get to the ballpark- which always involved getting off the Stevenson at Ashland, going south to Pershing, then east on Pershing to Normal to park the car,then walk to the park. Those rides would always have a special "bonus"; the smell of the Stockyards!! lol...I hav

I grew up in Burbank IL, and my all-time favorite pizza is still and always will be Phil's Pizza on 89th & Ridgeland in Oak Lawn. Superb toppings, perfect sauce, and lots of cheeese makes this pizza a true Chicago area classic. Try it one time and see what i mean! (The sign says "Since 1970" , but i thought it opened a littler later than that) Enjoy!
