Did you live close to Elizabeth Agnes or Vicki Bernal? An epiphany student lived in the smaller white house.

Ok I passed by on 25th street from work and saw the Babich house you mentioned. I was thinking of the smaller white house next to Karen Bednar's. Who lived there? The Bednar house used to be painted yellow but now it's white. Almost all homes including my old house have a fence now. During the day the neighborhood looks the same as the 1960's but at night it is different. On weekends ladies

Sorry to hear about Nancy. I think I remember your brother Jimmy. Did he have curly hair? Are any of the Serduicks on Facebook? Maybe we should start a Facebook page exclusive for those who graduated Epiphany in the 1960s? It can be closed and secret so only members can see posts.

Ok I remember Donna now. And I think I recall her sister Nancy. Did they have a little brother? I didn't know all three were related. I always thought Pinkie was very pretty at the 1976 teen club. I still have my Epiphany class photos and graduation photo. Forgotten Chicago should allow us to post photos so ironically it won't be forgotten.

Donna lived in a small white house? I think I know the face but not her name. I pass by my old house very often from work. My old house had such a nice wood door and now it's all cracked from not being wood stained. Karen Bednar graduated with my class in 1974 not 1976. My Dad took home movies of me walking home around 1970 or 1972 from Epiphany and I took some movies too with our Super 8 c

Hi I'm Frank. Donna doesn't ring a bell. I'd have to see a picture. Did she live on 25th street? Other kids I knew who lived on 25th were Mary Pinkie Metoyer, Karen Bednar, and Stephen Gronkiewicz. I wish I could find a photo of B&C Hobby store.

Nicolene and Allison were my next door neighbors. They and Brian went to my childhood birthday parties. I wish this page would let me post photos. I have a photo of them with me at my birthday party. When I was 6 years old I would play Batman and Brian was Robin.

My parents and I owned El Nopal Bakery in Pilsen. My cousin and I were there this morning and spoke with the friendly Mama Pie manager. I have my parents receipts when they bought 1844 S Blue Island in 1960. The reciepts have the Fritz' full names. I recall my Mom said the Fritz bakery name was Ace Bakery. The building was built in 1885 and I think it was always a bakery. Not sure when the Fritz o

In the 1960's I went to B&C Hobby shop on 26th street to buy Aurora models. When they closed in 1976 I bought their Superman promotional display. I'm looking for a picture of the storefront.

Epiphany has reunions every few years where alumni can tour the school. Do you remember the name of the teacher who was in a wheelchair. He taught science? I remember kindergarten with Nicolene. They gave us paper straws for chocolate milk but the straws collapsed when wet. Someone told me Teddy Tutka was killed in a fire late 1970s but I couldn't find a newspaper article on the net abou

Yes still have bakery on 26th. I was interviewed on Food Network. How are you? Last I heard about Stephen he moved to California. Saw the Serduicks at a Epiphany reunion. I remember seeing in Epiphany a long stairway leading to a wooden elevator. It was behind a door in a classroom where we hanged our coats. Did you ever see that elevator?

Chuck, you and I were in a Cessna and as it was landing Stephen Gronkiewicz was running on the ground to meet us. The pilot said "Is he trying to outrun the plane?" We did a skit in class where we pretended to be in a car and Stephen was playing a cop. Acting, you fainted on the floor very convincingly after Stephen said something like "you're too big for juvi." I too wen

The 1/32 Batmobile was Aurora's biggest selling kit. But it was very inaccurate as they rushed it. Polar Lights made an all new 1/25 1966 Batmobile that is highly accurate. The second reissue has new resin figures based on Adam West. If you like models Berwyn's Toys and Trains on Ogden about 12 minutes from Epiphany has an excellent selection. Lots of figure kits and mags on military models. Th

I remember B&C on the north side when my Dad bought me an Aurora King Kong model kit there in 1964. B&C must have moved in 1965 to the south side of the street. In 1976 his son in law told me they threw away a lot of model kits in a hurry as Mr. Vrba didn't move out until the new owner knocked down the walls. I'm looking for pictures of the B&C storefront. I asked the family

When B&C Hobby shop closed in 1976, I went to owner Mr. Vrba's house and bought his Aurora factory promotional displays of Superman, JFK, The Lone Ranger, Gladiator, and Land of the Giants Snake for $3.50 each. I remember when I was 5 looking at the Superman kit in the window in the early 1960s. If I knew then what I know now, I would have asked if he had the longbox Frightening Lighting mo

My parents used to shop at the Sears warehouse in the 1960's. Basement had thrift store, boats, lights and the toy department. Upstairs had books, vacuum cleaners and caramel popcorn. Third floor had childrens shoes. Does anyone have pictures of the Sears toy department there?

We lived on 25th street from 1960 to 1977 and I think my Mom shopped at House of B. Where exactly was that located? By Woolworths on Pulaski? Can you post a picture? Around 1966 my Mom would take me to Singer Shoes. Bought Hush Puppies and PF Flyers. I'm looking for pictures of B&C Hobby Shop on 26th street. They had model kits in the window. Frank

Thanks for the B&C address. I think it's a restaurant now. I had asked the owners family who worked there but they did not know it. In the address book was it B&C Hobby Store or B&C Bicycle? They used to have factory built model kits in the window and when they closed in 1976, I bought Superman, Batman, Lone Ranger, JFK, Land of Giants snake.

Hi, B&C Hobby was located by Kedvale Ave. On the south side of 26th street. But first they used to be across the street where the pool tables are. I asked the family but they never took pictures of their store! Maybe Community Reporter archives have them as they took pictures for their local newspaper?

Hi, I'm looking for photos of the B&C Hobby Shop on 26th street that sold model kits in 1966. They had Aurora superhero and monsters kits in the window. When I was a kid I used to look in their window at the kits. Can anyone help? And does anyone have a picture of Minarik's Bakery when it was on 26th Street? Also looking for a picture of ACE Bakery on 1844 S. Blue Island Avenue in Pi
