If you're lucky enough to have a friend living there, check out the 540 Briar Apartments building... the elevators definitely have to be at least 60+ years old. Indeed, the whole building itself used to be a hotel back in the 1930s I believe and they have not changed it much since then. The hallways make you feel like you're in 'The Shining'...

I am in love with this site. It's definitely got my eyes more on the buildings and not on the road. I guess it's become a threat to all of our safety. :) So, whenever you get some Forgotten Chicago tours off the ground, I'd love to be a tour guide. I was a tour guide with City Segway Tours last year and I just love this town more and more. Except November-March. :)
