I grew up 5400 north on Lakewood. As kids (1950's/1960's) we'd frequently venture on our bikes north on Clark Street up to Devon. There was a small plaza atop on which sat two WW II era tanks, one of which you could enter from beneath.

Can anyone tell me if they are still there. If not, when were they removed and what became of them,

The tanks on that plaza north of Devon between Ashland and Clark have been gone for many years. I could be wrong on this, but they may have been removed during the 70s.

Old military aircraft, tanks, artillery etc. that you see on display in parks are still property of their originating service. Those tanks would have gone back to the Army when their use as a war memorial ended. (Unfortunately, if they were removed in the 60s or 70s they may have simply been scrapped.)
