One Hundred Twenty Two years of unbroken tradition. I was raised on the southside of Chicago, for several year we lived on Marquette Rd. St Marys of Mt. Carmel parish.My moms family was from the north side,so we would take the bus to Melrose Park ,we would meet our aunts and uncles at the Feast. It was like a family picnic. This was in the 60ies , 70ies. We have taken our mom back, for the last 3 years, and it brings back many memories.The message on the new electric board in front of the church said Welcome Home.
