627 Webster - what is now Oz Park

This residence was owned by my 2nd Great Grandfather (Jose B. Garcia of the Perfecto Y Garcia business) in the 1920's and 30's. It remained in the family and my parents lived there in the early 1950's. The building is gone now, it seems to have been eaten up by Oz Park. I am searching high and low for an old picture (or any info)of this building. Any suggestions to expedite my search?

In the 1929 Polk Directory, these names were listed under 627 Webster,

Ericnborn Geo (Stella)
Garcia J B (Lucy)
Porter J E (Johanna)

It looks like those homes were taken down around 1973 from looking at the aerial view.

Thanks RJ. I will look up the Polk Directory. I'd love to locate photos of that area from back in the day. Any ideas?

i remember in the 60s before our picknik my dad would take us on Western ave in a old factory areal. He would pull up to a dock. Nobody was there but a coin machine that took 75 cents/ When my dad put the money in , then you herd a bang and out of the shoot cam a solid block of ice about 3x2...any one remember this?

There is something wrong with their menu screens. The buttons don't click in Chrome but they work in my vintage Internet Explorer.

Try this instead.

Don't forget to bookmark it.

p.s.

Don't click on the menu files. Those will give you the same problem.

Open the letter you want.
