As a child I lived one half block north of the Ideal Theater on Ogden Avenue. My best friend Louie I went to the show every Saturday and some Sundays. We went to Ideal alot. I rember getting in and buying a box of popcorn for $ .25! I have digital photos of many Chicago area theaters. But I've never found a photo of the Ideal or the Plaza on North Avenue. Good luck in your search.

423reed, When I went to the Ideal, the cost was .09. And I lived directly behind the Ideal on vine street. For .09 one could see two features, three cartoons, a serial a newsreel and the previews of coming attractions. This was in the late forties/ early fifties. If I find a photo of the ideal or plaza, I'llsend you one.
