Does anyone remember a giant store on Lincoln near Addison that was around maybe 10-15 years agp? It took up pretty much an entire city block and was run by a hilariously foul-mouthed older lady and her family. They had an entire warehouse of furniture and other rooms with clothes, knicknacks, etc.. The place was pretty dirty and probably guilty of a ton of fire violations. I remember stories about neighbors trying to get them out of there. I think they even did a story about the owner in the Reader but I can't find it. I just rememebr going there years ago for my theatre company to get props and furniture really cheap. I loved it, and haven't seen anything like it since.

I remember the place well. I think they had some troubles with drug sales and later the operation burned down.

That would be Betty's Resale Shop.
