I came across an old High-Low grocery store ghost sign this weekend, I cant seem to post the picture though. Can I even post a pic via the mobile site?
The sign in in the parking lot the side facing the parking lot says "High Low Parking". I'm guessing the church at 953 W. 63rd was the store location. Can anybody verify?

That makes more sense, the church looked a bit small. So the store used to stand east of the parking lot where the sign is located. You can still see the remnants of the building on street view.

Sure thing! Glad to help. Great ghost sign find, Chistorian51! If you want a PDF of the 1959 ad, rjmachon, just PM me with your email address and I'll send you a copy.
Wow, I recognize that area!
I believe High-Low was the next door East and the building in the Google street view is actually the old Czimers meat market that was eventually located out West of Orland Pk.
If I recall, the buildings were side by side, so close as to seem as one, and shared the same façade. Used to walk there with my mom to go shopping at the High-Low. Sometimes we'd go into Czimers and I remember all the weird animal parts packaged on Styrofoam trays as if perfectly normal ground beef, some of it pretty scary to a 10 year old!
