Has anyone ever heard of the history of Shades Pl? It is now Concord. (1632 N) I have been unable to determine how this street got its name. Could it be an honorary street name?
It stopped being named in something like 1936. I am not well-versed in these, but I've got the book written by Don Hayner & Tom McNamee; it is not named. This book compiled writings by others, so I felt it was pretty complete. Now I'm not so sure.
It is shades on the 1910 map between Halsted and vine it currently only runs half that length there. It is also called stark over by sedgewick and concord over by clybourn
