I can remember that hotdog stand on Long and Addison. Sometime after 2011 it was torn down. You can still see a picture of it on Google Street View from 20011.

There use to be a hotdog trailer on Wilson Ave., right under the Brown Line El Tracks. A guy I went to high school with worked there and eventually bought it. Everybody from Ravenswood Hospital use to go there.

Hi fleurblue,

My first part time job was at a Henry's hamburger joint on Fullerton and Central across from the Hanson Park Stadium. Our pay was .90 an hour and we worked our butts off. If there was any kind of game in the stadium we would have people lined up the length of the parking lot, waiting to order. In the summer, the place was unbearable with all the heat and humidity .. we had no air conditioning. If you remember, Henry's had a little gimmick .. if you bought something and a red star appeared on your receipt, you got your order free.

I worked there to earn enough money to put a down paymment on a Moped from Sears.
I was too young to get my driver's license.
