Now, the DEA and the FBI might be interested, but you'd have to send them samples of the postings, and they may want them to remain until they catch whoever is doing this.
Was out of town for the weekend. When I checked in here this morning, I see that the spam posts are gone. Any info on this? Did someone get the attention of the mods on this forum?
Edit: I now see that the spam is not, in fact, gone. My morning coffee must not have kicked in.

"Users" like redser45 and others are not real persons; these are spambots that scan for any message boards with weak security. They are not specifically targeting FC but any site on this globe. Using google, you will notice that redser45 can be found on many message boards around the globe. These bots are designed even to reply to spam from other "users" in order to make them appear "human" and to keep their junk high up in the posting order. Obviously, sending real-human replies to them is futile: "they" don't read them.
It seems as if the FC message board has a weak link in its website security which is exploited. The spambots are able to make their accounts automatically through a backdoor and thus are able to keep spamming. The real purpose is not to sell fake money, grades and all that but to have people click on the links in the spam messages in order to install spyware of hijackware. Don't expect much from the FDA or FBI; the criminals behind these spambots are very hard to trace and often in countries in which the US has no jurisdiction.

The Captcha that you must now enter to make a post defeats the spambots. Glad to see that someone was actually listening and that this great forum doesn't have to die and be replaced by an alternative. It would have been a crime to lose all the information contained on the threads here. Thank you for listening moderators and taking the necessary steps to keep the spammers at bay.
