Just noticed this week that this old gas station (lately used for U-Hauls), is being torn down. It's on the city's landmarks list, but that doesn't seem to have made a difference.

It was 2/3rds demolished as of yesterday.

This was on the CHRS and according to the permit the historic part will remain:

Half of the building is historic, the other half expendable. Classic.

Well, yes, the garage part was a later addition.
