Are there any forum members who were Chicago Cardinal fans, or ever attended any of their games?

Was there a rivalry back then between Cards fans and Bears fans like the Sox and the Cubs? The Cards played here for over 50 yrs so I assume that there were generational fans, did Cardinal fans despise the Bears and vice versa?

I understand that the Cards used to play the Bears on Thanksgiving for many years.

There history traces back to 52nd-Morgan. Joe Ziemba's book When Football Was Football is a great read.

I went with my dad to a cardinals game I believe in the late 50's or early 60's at soldiers field. I remember Ollie Matson played half back for the cards and the steelers had Bobby Layne at quarterback. There wasn't a lot of people in the stands and thats probably what led them moving to St. Louis.
