I grew up a couple of blocks east of the "Amp" and have quite a few stories about it. My favorite memories were of a lot of concerts for free there. What side of Lawrence Ave. was the building located? I'm in the area quite often. I do recall a rather odd frame house on the north side of Lawrence near Leavitt.
