How about Shake N' Burger on Belmont near Lamon? I think there's a Dunkin' Donuts there now. Early 70s, small place. Saltiest fries I ever tasted in my life. I haven't found any info on it being a chain even though it had that look.

Jeffrey Rignall survived a kidnapping by John Wayne Gacy Jr. and was left under a statue in Lincoln Park. Does anyone know which statue he was left under? Where it was located?

I remember going in there once in the 70s after the owner had a monkey stolen from the shop. He showed us the pair of snips used to break in. The robbers gave the monkey back after it got diarrhea from being fed nothing but bananas and their apartment became...well...messy.

Blue Havana, a store that was part of The Alley series of stores, was recently torn down on Belmont near Clark. There was a brief period of time where you could see a tunnel or room in the basement that led underneath the alleyway there. It has since been covered up along with the rest of the basement. Does anyone know what that was? It may have been something interesting like a secret room during
