According to a retired CFD Battalion Chief, who is a CFD historian: Truck 2 was the assigned company to that firehouse located at Clinton and Washington. The third floor was occupied by The Firemans Mutual Aid Fund. And, the First Division Marshall was also assigned there. When the firehouse closed, Truck 2 was relocated to 324 S Desplaines. Yes in Chicago proper! Engine 99 at 3042 s. kedvale caught fire not once but twice. The last fire was approimately 15 to 20 years ago. That fire did heavy damage to the second floor. They were on a run at the time. A friend of mine was assigned to that house and a neighbor told him that he has been living on that block for over 30 years and the only 2 fires on the block were at the firehouse.

The league you are talking about was called Town of Lake little league and pony league, 2 fields. One for little league, the other for pony league,used to play pony league baseball there, Back of the Yards little league was located at 47 and Damen. I played little league there also.
